What is the North Springs Charter High School Math and Science Magnet Program?
The NSCHS math and science magnet program is an interest-based science, math & technology magnet program housed within the Math and Science Academy of the comprehensive district school, North Springs Charter High School.
What is a Magnet Program?
As the name implies, a magnet is a specialized program within an existing school designed to “attract” students with a strong interest in one or more specialized areas.
What is the Math & Science Academy?
Students who like to work with numbers, problem solve from a mathematical point of view, learn about science, conduct experiments, engage in scientific research and/or do mathematical modeling will find the Math & Science Academy offers many opportunities to be engaged in the field of math and science from a general interest to a magnet program focus. Students can participate in Science Fair, Science Bowl, Science Olympiad, Math Team, and Robotics Club among the many clubs and honor societies offered, and participate in many local, regional and global competitions. Degrees may be earned at the Academy level, the Advanced level, and at the highest level the Magnet Seal may be awarded.

What is FOMAS?
FOMAS (Friends of Math and Science) is the academic booster organization for the Math & Science Academy of NSCHS. FOMAS supports the teachers and students within and outside of the classroom but more importantly, FOMAS' goal is to be that liaison between the families and the staff of the Math & Science Academy.
Are my donations to FOMAS tax deductible?
Yes, the Friends of Math and Science (FOMAS) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
